As I sit and work (listening to The Alan Parsons Project's Some Other Time), I realize that it has almost been a thousand days since I last smoked.
Despite topsy-turvy world, smoking doesn't even figure into my life any more. The rare thought of smoking usually is the vaguely occasional far-off call of nicotine - like whispers at a seance. The thing is, I'm not listening.
Back to work. There are more important things in the world than nicotine. So there.
OK, so I've stopped smoking and I exercise more. I watch my food (to see if I like it) - that's another subject, perhaps? Chronicles of simple posts and short observations. Stay tuned and work along with me if you can! Continuing down the road!

951 Days Smober - and still being myself
Just postin' my stats.
I'm still alive here. Having a hard time with changing life, but still not smoking...
951 days, 8 minutes and 30 seconds smoke free.
33285 cigarettes not smoked.
Just an anecdote from my Facebook page once upon a time:
"Internet typing by myself:
"Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their countries."
Internet typing with the boys (DaddyKatz kittenz):
"Now is the psv8iawdo hyv;o8 . time for all good woi8eho;8o8v peple owrei; hbt to the aid of their countir ias ld;oh vs."
My cats Marshall and Jackson have been a spirit of good and calm and love. I'm so glad I have them.

Working in a new place now, no smokin' still
New job, kids at camp... still no desire to smoke.
I never would have guessed that I could make it this far...
"891 days, 22 hours, 49 minutes and 20 seconds smoke free.
31218 cigarettes not smoked."
I'm glad I'm alive and employed, even if the employer isn't very nice.
Remember, "Let yourself be awesome."

Still not smoking. Still (fairly) Sane
Here it is more than 2 years since I last smoked a cigarette.
My weight is under control. My attitude towards nicotine and tobacco are both just fine.
I don't really want to smoke, even in tough times. I think I miss the nico-buzz sometimes, but really, I'm much happier without the ball and chain now.
Cheers!
Statistics (at the old two-year-ago rate for packs of cigarettes):
773 days, 8 hours, 2 minutes and 12 seconds smoke free.
27067 cigarettes not smoked.
$3,922.98 and 6 months, 26 days, 18 hours of your life saved.
